Apollo- SOLD
Apollo is a gorgeous palimino and white saddle saddle horse gelding that stands 14.2 hands with a full build and is 7 years old. Apollo is a delight to be around. I’d like to think there has been several top notch horse here at the barn but this guy is a unicorn, I’m telling you is unreal this horses mind and level of quietness. He is dead quiet on the ground, not ansy, pawing the ground or acting rude, he stand at there with patient like a total gentleman.
Apollo is very easy to handle. He stands to be bathed, clipped, shod , groomed, tacked and mounted. He is will easily open his mouth to take the bit and waits to be asked to go before walking off. Like I said above, Apollo is a patient horse, i have used him for several things around the farm like getting up cattle, open and shutting gates and what ever else I find to get into and I’ll be honest, I’m not the most coordinated person and he always waits for me to get what I’m trying to do done.
Apollo loads, unloads and hauls great and will back off the trailer when asked. He has been hauled countless places trail riding and is used to packing saddle bags, standing on a picket line and will ride anywhere in the group, we have also trail rode Apollo right off the farm to some local trails. He will ride out alone away from the barn and other horses straight without trying to turn back or hollering for his pals.
I hope I done a good job on Apollo’s videos, trying to show you how broke and truly special he is but In reality he’s a horse you’re going to have to meet to get a grasp on how well minded he is.
On top of all of this great things about Apollo he has a phenomenal natural 4 beat gait that is 2nd to none and very comfortable to ride but wait there’s more!!! Apollo has a rocking chair lope that will make you drool!! I’d say he’s got probably the best short lope I’ve ever seen on a gaited horse and will give most quarter horses a run for their money on how comfortable it is to sit.
We have put Apollo through all the trail riding test, the road ( traffic) test and all the other stuff we do along with his desensitizing training and well to be honest, he made it easy, from the tarp to the leaf blower he just about accepted it all from the start, making our jobs easy. I could keep going on Apollo, he is so easy to brag on but take the time, watch the video and get to know him. I’m positive if you’ve been looking for a laid back gelding and our serious about your safety on horseback then Apollo is what you not only want but need.
