Shelby is a very pretty grade Kentucky mountain Mare that stands 15 hands tall and is 10 years old! This mare has been by owned by some friends of a friend of mine the past few years and has been taken on countless Tennessee camping trips. Shelby is the same horse day in and day out. She’s mainly been turned out in the pasture but just to make sure she has no bad stall habits for ourselves we have kept her stalled the last few weeks and she does not have any. She is very honest ,clean and sound. Shelby is a lot of fun to ride as well as watching ride as you’ll see from the video she has plenty of style and natural gaiting ability. She is super smooth and one that can go all day. This is one that has more miles than most horses twice her age and she has plenty of heart and stamina, if you’re looking for a gentle endurance prospect she would certainly work for that. She is used to going out on 8 or 10 hour trail rides just the same as she is used to going on small rides around the farm to stay in shape. Like I said this mare is no trouble to ride whatsoever and if you can hold the reins and sit there properly I feel like you can ride her but she is also one that knows her job and when you smooch to her or point her head a certain direction no matter how rough that terrain is she’s going to go, which is the type of horse that I like! I’m asking $4,000 for Shelby.
